Cloth for a Cause - New Brunswick

Cloth for a Cause - New Brunswick Cloth for a Cause originated in BC in late 2011. There are now several chapters across Canada. (elastic stretched, snaps missing, etc)
- materials. Thanks! ♡

We collect donated cloth diapers and accessories, fix them up as needed and loan them to interested low income/struggling families get their babies out of expensive disposables and into cloth diapers. This chapter of Cloth for a Cause was created to serve New Brunswick & Surrounding Area. Right now, the cost of disposable diapers and wipes is approx. $2,655.63 from birth to toddler hood. The cost

of laundering cloth diapers for that amount of time comes in at around $585.00. While buying cloth diapers is more economical in the long run, not many low income parents have $300 to spend on cloth diapers to get started. When you consider that the spending budget meant to cover food, diapers, and everything other then rent for a mother and child on assistance is $250-300, it seems to make more sense to pay $45 per month on a pack of disposables. Environmental:
-it is estimated that around 5 million tons of untreated waste is deposited into landfills via disposables every year. If we repair our worn cloth diapers and hand them off to be used again, we're helping to make cloth diapering even more sustainable than it already is.

:) We are always in need of:
- gently used diapers (any kind)
- repairable, well loved diapers. (flannel, PUL, elastic, snaps.)
- time - helping replace elastics, we always have a bunch needed.
- money (to cover costs of shipping, fabric, snaps, velcro, etc.) We will post on the page if there is anything we're in immediate need of.

:) :) If you or someone you know is interested in receiving cloth diapers, feel free to fill out our online form www.clothforacause.org/apply.html or email [email protected] with any questions. We will try to find a way to get them to you from Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton or you or you can pay to have them shipped to you.

:) :) :) We ask that you eventually return the diapers we send out. We mark them each with CFAC so you know which ones are ours. We can fix them up and give to another family once youre finished ♡

We greatly appreciate any donations. Please contact us via Facebook, if you have any questions. See our pinned post for available drop off locations.
