October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month

This month, we’re celebrating and raising awareness of the many different ways learning disabilities can impact children, students and adults and the importance of having the right support in place.

At LDANB-TAANB, we support individuals with all learning disabilities, providing resources, tutoring, individual consultations, advocacy and support throughout New Brunswick.

πŸ‘Ÿ You can help us keep that work moving! Join our Steps 4 Learning fundraiser and walk, run, roll, bike, swim or move your way to support LDANB-TAANB and the people we serve.

Every step helps us continue providing meaningful support to individuals with learning disabilities and their families.

Register today and take Steps 4 Learning with us!

We may be a little late, but we still wanted to take a moment to recognize International Day of Sign Languages. πŸ’™

Sign languages play a vital role in creating accessible and inclusive communities. We are proud of our partnership with NB Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Inc. (NBDHHS) and the work they do to support communication access and advocacy across our province.

Together, we can continue building a more accessible and inclusive community for everyone.

Options Employment Outreach is proud to help spread the word about LDANB-TAANB's Steps 4 Learning 2026, a virtual walk, run, roll fundraiser supporting children, youth, and adults with learning disabilities.

Whether you walk, run, roll, bike, swim, or move in your own way, every step helps raise awareness and support for people with learning disabilities. Participation is open to all ages and abilities, and schools and classrooms can join for free.

πŸ’™ Because learning disabilities are a marathon, not a sprint, and together we can keep moving forward.

Options Employment Outreach would like to extend a sincere thank you to Nadine, Todd and Julie from Neil Squire for welcoming our team to the Saint John office last week for a valuable hands-on learning experience.

The visit gave us the opportunity to learn more about the assistive technologies and tools available to support individuals in reaching their employment and education goals.

A special thank you to Brian Ferris from WorkingNB for joining us as we explored ways to make workplaces, learning environments, and communities more accessible.
