Based out of the Saint John Learning Exchange, the WorkLinks initiative seeks to match job seekers with employers. Our work has is two-tier; on one side we have workforce coaches working directly with job seekers to assess their skills, past experience and training, personality, and goals. This is essential to ensuring the individual is work ready and is actively looking for work in a sector that
best reflects their strengths and goals. Finding a job is only half the battle; here at WorkLinks we believe that true success is measured in the individual’s ability to excel within their place of employment. The other component of our work here at WorkLinks is undertaken by the Job Developer. Working with a variety of businesses in the Saint John area, the Job Developer meets with employers to determine their staffing needs and recruiting techniques. We want to know what you look for in an employee with regards to experience, training, and personality type. With this information, the Job Developer is able to assess WorkLinks ability to reduce recruitment times by providing a list of qualified job seekers free of charge. Matching a qualified job seeker with prominent businesses in our community helps reduce unemployment while simultaneously reducing recruiting costs for your business as we are a non-profit and all our services are free of charge. In addition to helping you fill job vacancies, we offer on-going follow up to you as an employer as well as your new employee, ensuring a low turnover and a dedicated staff, further reducing your costs and boosting productivity.
