Board Director Allen Dickson was pleased to attend the opening ceremony of the new playground at La Mosaïque du Nord, a project supported by the NB Children's Foundation.

Board Director Kimberley Buck de Jesus says it was an emotional presentation granting the Peter McKee Community Food Centre with an award of $25,000 today. She spent an hour meeting with Christine Taylor, the Executive Director and Nikki - her (more than) Executive Assistant. Kimberley says seeing the work of the team and then long term passion was truly inspiring. Relying almost entirely on donations, fundraising and grants (shockingly) the well run organization not only provides food to an ever increasing number of those in need, but also is the home of an eye center and counseling services. The junior chef cooking class program is well attended and the community garden is once again underway. She says she could have visited for several hours. Congratulations!

Board Director Scott Oickle presented a grant award of $10,000 to the Caledonia Regional High School to support phase two of the Fundy Albert Community Greenhouse. It was an exciting Club Day at the Boys & Girls Club of Charlotte County - everyone was excited to meet Board Director Marilyn Lester who presented a grant award of $100,000 to help support a new building for the child and youth centre. Congratulations!

We are grateful to the NB Children's Foundation for their generous donation. These funds will help us send over 50 children to Scotian Glen Camp over the summer.

Mr. Peter Daniels presented this year’s 2026 Peter Daniels Award of $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carleton-York Executive Director Esther Vaswani at our Annual Meeting held May 12, 2026. THEN, as a bonus surprise, handed her another personal cheque of $1,000 - for a total of $6,000. Congratulations Esther and your team - keep up the great work!
