We ignite the desire in everyone to improve lives and build strong communities. Our roles are multiple: we are a funder, partner, convener, and advocate.

The United Way serving Saint John, Kings, and Charlotte brings people and organizations together to build vibrant neighborhoods and strengthen our community. Here’s the key – we partner with over 50 local organizations to help nearly 1 in 5 people in this region. Instead of focusing on one single program, we focus on many programs to better help the community as a whole. This way, your donation not only goes to the needs that everyone is aware of but also to those that are less obvious -- but no less important.

Another Area506 in the books and what a weekend it was! 🤠

Our volunteers showed up in all weekend long, and the energy never let up! There were familiar faces, as well as new ones and plenty of great vibes all around

To everyone who spent their weekend with us: THANK YOU. You are the reason events like this run smoothly, and why we continue to do impactful work in our community, we're endlessly grateful for your time and energy.

And to our friends at Area506, thank you for once again putting on an incredible event and inviting us to be part of it. It's always a highlight, and we can't wait to do it again next year.

Staples School Supply Drive is back! 📚

For over 20 years, Staples has proudly hosted the School Supply Drive in support of United Way, and each year, our community has shown up to help. Dollars raised stay local, going directly toward school supplies for students in the Maritimes.

From now until September 27, you can donate in-store or online. Here's the difference your dollar can make:

✏️ $2 buys a notebook
🖍️ $5 buys coloured pencils or pens
🧮 $10 buys a calculator or binder
🎒 $15 buys markers or a backpack
💻 $20 supports classroom technology

Donate today and help a local student start the year ready to learn!
