NB Soap Box Derby A great family event supporting an awesome cause! Come to Cranston Avenue on Saturday, June 6 2026!

Being a registered charity and non-profit organization, all funds raised by the activities of the Pavilion are returned to the community and support community programs in Rockwood Park. These programs include MOVIES in the PARK, RECREATION Your Way in the PARK, SENIORS in the PARK and AWESOME Adventures in the PARK. The largest community program, PALS in the PARK, is funded completely by the Saint John Soap Box Derby.

Good Luck to Violet Carr, 9, and Seth Burley, 10, who are competing this week at the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio.

These two local APEGNB Saint John Soap Box Derby champs are representing Fundy Shores School, Dipper Harbour, Westfield School, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, City of Saint John, New Brunswick, their car sponsors and Canada and this International Soap Box Derby Championship.

Thank you to all the sponsors, partners, schools, volunteers and community who make the Annual APEGNB Saint John Soap Box Derby race possible.

See you at the APEGNB Saint John Soap Box Derby next year on June, 5!

FINALLY we had incredible weather for the NB Soap Box Derby and what a day it was!! A huge thank you to our amazing J.D. Irving, Limited PALS - Partners Assisting Local Schools from Irving Pulp & Paper, Limited and Irving Tissue Company for once again sponsoring our two stunning cars.

The adults had just as much fun as the kids and the friendly competition between the two mills added to the excitement. It meant so much to have so many of our PALS from the two mills with us for the day as well as parents and siblings to cheer on the kids.

Thank you to all the derby volunteers for their hard work, and a special shout out to Andy for once again making the trip from Houlton, ME - it wouldn’t be the same without you at the starting blocks!! What a day filled with memories the kids will forever cherish. 🥰 We have ! ❤️🦦🏎️
