The Social Enterprise Hub

The Social Enterprise Hub A space to work on skills building, environmental stewardship, employment and enterprise development, community research and mapping, and much, much more.

The Social Enterprise Hub is a space where we scale an enterprising culture for poverty reduction and community building. Tenants include enterprising non-profit organizations, social enterprises, and micro-enterprises. More than 100 people a day pass through the Hub doors to work on skills building, environmental stewardship, employment and enterprise development, community research and mapping,

and much, much more. We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet,) Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which these nations first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources, but recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. We, the staff and members of our board, pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land. We honour the knowledge keepers and seek their guidance as we strive to develop closer relationships with the Indigenous people of New Brunswick. We honour the experiences of the indigenous people through discussions, reflection and education. We will continue to support indigenous owned businesses & organizations and continously educate ourselves through the many resources available.
