It has been a few days since SJWD Family Day, and we are still so in awe and full of gratitude. It's a long post, folks 😉

Seaside Lawn Bowling Club sure know how to have a good time... and wow, what a night! Thank you westside for a night to remember (we can't wait to see you again today!)

Sooo.. today's THE DAY 😍

Coffee & Goss currently underway.. it's a beautiful morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to the storytelling of David Goss. Join us from now until 10:30am Castle Fallsview Funeral Home !

Then pack up the kids!! Grab your lawn chairs, and let's goooooo 😎 Don't forget sunscreen and hats (and bathing suits/towels if using the splashpad). The sun is out to play, we'll see you at noon!! 🌞 We're about to have the BEST day together! 🫶 Carleton Community Centre

We CANNOT believe we are getting ready to finish it all off 😭 but what a few days it has been!! Here is your reminder about what is happening tomorrow (Aug 15):

Castle Fallsview Funeral Home is hosting a breakfast treat - stop by for light refreshments between 8:30-10:30am. Westside Storyteller David Goss will be sharing stories and folklore on the back deck with panoramic views of the falls, the river and the city. A wonderful way to start the day!

Then put on your sunscreen, grab your chairs & get your hats! Get ready for our 4th Annual SJWD Family Day 😎 Inflatable fun, face painters, henna, alpacas & petting zoo, axe throwing, 360 photo booth, BBQ foods, live music and more! We CAN'T WAIT to celebrate with you all! Thank you Carleton Community Centre for hosting our SJWD finale 😁

BINGO was a blast - don't you agree? Thank you SJ & Fundy Region Seniors for hosting such a fun event!! Thank you to Premier Susan Holt, MLAs David Hickey & Kate Wilcott and their colleagues for stopping by - wonderful to have you! Big shout out to Del & Friends for entertaining us 🎶

We followed a great day with a GREAT NIGHT! We were so happy to see everyone out enjoying the weather, playing a little ball ⚾️ Thank you to Rob Scott Insurance on the grill!

It was nice to see faces at 69 Branch, reminiscing and catching up. A special thank you to Dave O'Toole & John Trainor for your wonderful display.

We're having so much fun already! 🤩 Here's your reminder about what is happening tomorrow (Aug 14):

Seaside Lawn Bowling Club is hosting their annual SJWD Open House! Stop in between 1-4pm to check out the space, try your hand at lawn bowling, and enjoy a bite from the grill! *flat sole shoes recommended

Jumping ahead to the evening.. grab your friends & family and head over to the Assumption Centre to dance the night away! DJ Niles Miles is sure to play your favourite hits, and the bar will be available. Dance begins 8:30pm! Thank you Moosehead Breweries for sponsoring this event!

Wow, we're still reeling after last evening - we had SUCH a good time with you all!!

Thank you Lancaster Plaza for hosting our SJWD2026 kick off! Thank you to Mayor Donna Noade Reardon, Councillor Sherri Colwell- McCavour, and MLA Kate Wilcott for saying a few words. Thank you to our sponsors for attending, and to Josh Taylor of DP World, and Craig Estabrooks of Port Saint John for sharing your story with us.

Thank you to Casa Latina for serving us delicious bites, Domino's Pizza for jumping in with pizzas too, Urban Dance Company for keeping it moving, and last but not least to SideKick for entertaining us all evening! Congratulations to our prize winners, stay tuned for more draws!
