Never look directly at the sun without those special glasses!

Hope you kept your glasses from the last eclipse! This is happening today, but don’t look directly at the sun without your glasses. Maybe even keep the kiddies inside but explain what’s happening - moon blocking out part of the sun as it passes in front of it.

What a wonderful day here at SJKAL - end-of-the-year pizza party and two new grads to celebrate - doesn't get better than that! Congratulations to Brad Vautour and Tylor Chaffey! They were only here a short time but made a huge impression - such great people with wonderful futures on the horizon! We were joined by my other recent grad, Suzanne. Good luck and best wishes to all three!

It's that time of year again. A big thank-you to all the wonderful students we had this year! We hope everyone has a fun, safe, happy summer - enjoy!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...perhaps I'm not supposed to admit that lol Friday is the last day of class for several students and teachers. We're off to enjoy our hot, and probably dry summer. (Pay attention to those burn bans - the scientists know what they're doing!) We do have a couple of summer classes around town - one at Place 400 and one at the John Howard Society. If you need information about these, you can call: 506-333-5480 or email: [email protected]
It's been another fantastic year - so long and thanks for all the fish! OK, clams actually - a student brought me clams - true story 😂

Today, May 28th 2026, marks a monumental day in Canada.

On this day twenty-six years ago, the remains of the Unknown Soldier were laid to rest at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.

The Royal Canadian Legion was determined to establish a resting place of honour and respect for one soldier, that would represent all. A key decision was to select the Unknown Soldier from the First World War battlefield near Vimy Ridge, symbolizing a defining moment in Canadian history when all four Canadian divisions fought together under Canadian command

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a sacred site of Remembrance, representing all of the servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
