Although, as the president and founder, I have stepped back on administrative work for NB COPES Child and Family Grief Centre, I am still very involved in the development of partnerships and leadership within organization. We have been working with NB First Nations communities for over five years and have modified our approaches based on the wisdom of elders and families who have attended our retreats. But for the first time, we are taking steps toward a deeper collaboration to transform our services to meet the needs of these communities, a “two-eyed seeing” approach that honours both mainstream and Indigenous approaches to supporting families experiencing grief, loss and trauma…learning with and from each other. We are grateful for this partnership and the important work ahead. Thanks to Ashley and Danielle for their visit from Tobique First Nation ❤️

Our Big Bed Push Fundraiser is next Saturday!

We have a fun day planned out:
Millennium Cycle & Sport will be onsite with E-Bikes for you to test drive and are providing HYDRATION for our crew!

Fundy Honda, our title sponsor, will have a few cars and info onsite to check out!

Costco Wholesale Canada will have an info booth setup, they provide all of our snacks for the day!

Vito's is feeding participants delicious pizza and salads again this year.

Maddy Murphy Memorial Foundation will be there with information and THE BEST cheering squad!

K100 Saint John will have their summer cruiser onsite. Stop in and say hi to Celia!

Some days, it's making a meal, going for a walk, or answering a text.

Grief can make even the smallest tasks feel overwhelming. Progress doesn't have to be big to be meaningful.

Celebrate the small wins. They still count. 💙

When someone you love dies, you aren't only grieving the person - you may also be grieving the role you held in their life.

For caregivers, life after a loss can bring a mix of emotions. Along with sadness, there may be relief, guilt, uncertainty, loneliness, or even a loss of purpose. These feelings can exist together, and they are all valid.

Grief is complex. Whatever you're feeling, know that you're not alone. 💙
