We are a community-based organization made up of dedicated and caring staff and volunteers committed to providing support, education and advocacy in a safe and confidential environment to all who are affected by HIV and AIDS. We provide innovative and proactive approaches to education, a harm-reduction model of prevention and a person-centered focus on support strategies for those affected by HIV.

đź“Ł WE'RE HIRING | INTENSIVE CASE (HIV SUPPORT PROGRAM)

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team and make a real difference in our community! The Intensive Case Manager in our HIV Support Program provides client-centered support to individuals living with HIV+ with complex needs who may experience barriers to accessing health and social service systems.

Through practical support, case management, education, and coordination, you will assist individuals in navigating complex service systems while promoting dignity, autonomy, and equitable access to care.

Working collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organizations, and multidisciplinary partners, this role:
🔹 Promotes timely access to HIV care and treatment
🔹 Enhances continuity of care
🔹 Supports clients in achieving their self-identified goals while maintaining dignity, autonomy, confidentiality, and equitable access to services

Niagara's Community Substance Use Strategy has issued an Adverse Reaction Drug Advisory following an elevated number of suspected fatal and non-fatal drug poisonings in our region.

The unregulated drug supply can change quickly and may contain unexpected substances or strengths.

Please review the advisory details above for critical harm reduction safety messaging, guidance for service providers, and support resources.

Key Reminders:
👉 Avoid using alone whenever possible.
👉 Consider using with someone you trust or calling a virtual spotting service like NORS at 1-888-688-6777.
👉 Start low and go slow, especially with a new supply.
👉 Carry naloxone and ensure people around you know how to use it.
👉 Call 911 immediately in an emergency.

The Naloxone Training Specialist will provide education, training, and presentations to community members, service providers, organizations, and individuals on opioid overdose prevention, recognizing and responding to an overdose, and the use of naloxone. The position will also support broader harm reduction education and community capacity-building.

Sometimes, the first step toward support is simply finding someone.

The Welcoming Streets Initiative brings outreach directly into downtown St. Catharines, where our team builds relationships, reconnects with people, and helps bridge the gap between community members and the services they may need.

That can mean tracking down someone who has lost touch with a service provider, sharing a resource, or helping an organization reconnect with someone they’ve been trying to reach.

RAFT - Attachment is the Answer. is one of the organizations doing a very important work in our community, supporting young people and families through connection, care, and practical support. We’re grateful to be able to help strengthen those connections when someone is out in the community.

That’s what community-based outreach can make possible. 💙
