Links for Greener Learning (LGL) is a non-profit organization Our workshops focus on addressing food insecurity, nutrition and environmental education. We help newcomer families and those in need. We strive to empower communities to feed themselves and build their own social support systems.

🧑‍🍳🍽️ Links for Greener Learning-Eco-Youth had an amazing Wednesday! 🍽️🧑‍🍳

In partnership with La Cabane and Centre de Santé, we brought together a wonderful group of youth for a day filled with learning, creativity, and fun.

Participants explored new cooking skills, took on exciting challenges, enjoyed interactive games, and built confidence in a welcoming and supportive environment. Young people thrive when they are encouraged to explore their interests, build meaningful connections, and gain valuable life skills in a positive and supportive setting.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this experience so special. Together, we are cultivating knowledge, building community, and helping the next generation grow stronger every day. 🌱✨

A huge thank you to the amazing youth group who visited us at Buchanan Educational Garden. It was a day filled with Laughing, teamwork, hands-on learning, and meaningful connections with nature. 🌿💚

We are grateful to Bridges Niagara for this impactful collaboration and for supporting youth engagement in environmental education. Together, we can already feel the excitement growing for a greener and brighter summer ahead! ☀️🌻

A huge thank you to our amazing youth volunteers from Links for Greener Learning who joined the NPCA planting event last Saturday in St. Catharines!

Despite the rainy weather conditions, our volunteers showed dedication, teamwork, and commitment to supporting the environment and giving back to the community. We are incredibly proud of your hard work and positive spirit.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) for organizing such a meaningful and well-coordinated event.

🌱✨ Yesterday at the LGL Buchanan Teaching Garden, Links for Greener Learning, in partnership with , hosted an inspiring session for an amazing group of passionate youth! 💚

Participants explored both the theory and practical hands-on skills behind successful planting techniques, learning how to increase the productivity of fruit-bearing plants and grow healthy organic fruits and vegetables. From transplanting seedlings to planting seeds from scratch, the session provided valuable knowledge and life skills for the future. 🌿🍅🌻

It was an incredible day filled with learning, teamwork, and empowering youth through environmental education and sustainable growing practices. 🌎✨

Today was filled with teamwork, learning, and lots of hard work as we prepared the garden for the summer season. Our volunteers helped maintain the garden, learned new planting techniques, and developed valuable gardening skills along the way. 🌿☀️

🌱 Community Pop-Up Market – Stamford Centre Library 🌱

Links for Greener Learning, in partnership with the Niagara Falls Public Library, is pleased to host a Pop-Up Market at Stamford Centre Library.

📅 Date: May 14
⏰ Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
📍 Location: Stamford Centre Library, 3643 Portage Rd, Niagara Falls

This community initiative will provide access to fresh groceries at very low prices, with a focus on supporting youth. Youth participants will receive priority pricing and can access all items for $5 CAD, while adults can purchase all items for $10 CAD.

In addition, free snacks, including pizza and juice, will be provided for youth participants.

We look forward to welcoming the community to this engaging and supportive event!

On May 6, Links for Greener Learning, in partnership with Centre de Santé – La Cabane, is hosting a fun and interactive youth cooking class!

👩🏾‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳 Together, we will prepare:
• Homemade Chicken Croquettes
• Cucumber Salad
• Plus a healthy dessert 🍓
