The Merritton Lion’s Club Commits $30,600 to Niagara Health Foundation for ECG Machine purchase!
The Merritton Lions Club is proud to announce our 5-year commitment to Niagara Health Foundation with the presentation of our first cheque toward the purchase of a new electrocardiograph (ECG) machine for the Intensive Care Unit at the Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines.
Merritton Lions members Glenn Connell, Keith Brown, Sharon VanVolkenberg, Anne Pigott, Jeff White, Terry Barclay, Dawn Bell, Lou Felice, Denise Chuchman, and Sandy Pyle were honoured to present the cheque to Niagara Health Foundation Development Leadership Giving members Andrea DiCenso and Annette Bennitz.
Our first contribution of $10,600 was presented on April 23, 2026, followed by four annual installments of $5,000 from 2027 through 2030. We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Delta Bingo & Gaming, as all funds for this important initiative were raised through our Bingo Account.
This new ECG machine will help provide faster and more accurate diagnosis and monitoring of heart conditions by recording the heart’s electrical activity in real time. With enhanced precision, remote monitoring capabilities, and integration with electronic health records, this advanced technology will allow healthcare teams to identify serious conditions such as heart attacks and arrhythmias more quickly — leading to faster treatment, improved patient outcomes, and greater peace of mind for patients and families throughout our community.
Thank you to everyone who supports the Merritton Lions Club and Delta Bingo & Gaming. Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Delta Bingo and Gaming
