Supporting Neurodiversity through Adaptive Programming SNAP

Supporting Neurodiversity through Adaptive Programming SNAP Supporting Neurodiversity through Adaptive Programming (SNAP) is a developmentally appropriate movem

Why Volunteer at SNAP?

- Gain experience working with youth who experience disability

- Make a difference by teaching developmental milestones of the first 12 months as guidelines for baseline or fundamental movement patterns

- Practice educating and promoting a healthy lifestyle through a station based pedagogy (breaking down skills into simpler components and chaining them together progressi

vely in a series of activities embedded in one activity station)

- Learn and apply Movement Education concepts that lead to teaching skills that have to be learned to accompany things a person wants to do (i.e. bus ride, getting dressed/changing clothes)
