Regiment 9 is a dance team founded and established in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Founder and former director R**t Roy initially built the team in order to unite the Niagara dance community with dancers from different backgrounds who are hungry for growth and are willing to learn — while providing them with the necessary tools to obtain the skills to grow as dancers and individuals. Regiment
9 is now currently under the direction of Kin Nguien and Ian Simon, with the knowledge they've learned from being under the mentorship of R**t Roy they plan on continuing the legacy that has been passed on to them. As well as, recreating the team’s culture and upholding their mantra: “Support the unsupported.” They believe that individuals who show hard work, determination and the hunger to learn should be given more recognition and provided more opportunities, but also remembering that at the end of the day everyone is human first and that we all have our own struggles we go through — and one way to bring each other up is by showing support for one another.
