While our direction has evolved over time, our commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community remains the same.

We are now launching the SSN Community Support Fund — a direct support initiative focused on:
🌈 LGBTQ+ identity affirmation
🤝 Community participation & connection
🎨 Grassroots community projects & initiatives

This fund may support things such as:
• Gender-affirming items
• Transportation related to LGBTQ+ events/services
• LGBTQ+ workshops & support groups
• Community-building initiatives
• Q***r-led creative/community projects
• Youth participation in LGBTQ+ programs/events

Our goal is simple: to return community-raised funds directly back into the community in meaningful and impactful ways.

Applications will be opening soon.

🌈 Community Update from Safe Space Niagara 🌈

After a lot of reflection and conversation, we’ve decided to pause the dissolution process to move forward with a pilot Q***r Youth Art Club.

The program will be facilitated by trained, q***r-affirming adults and designed with safety, consent, and accessibility in mind.

We’re currently looking for:
– A social worker / youth worker or similar professional (paid, independent contractor)
– Volunteers to support the program

If this sounds like something you might be interested, please send us a message.

Once again, we would like to thank Nova Phoenix Counselling Services for making this event possible, as well as CAA Niagara for sponsoring our activity tables.

Also, a huge thank you to our vendors and volunteers.

Even though Safe Space Niagara is coming to an end, Jessica will continue to host this event each year.
