This summer was measured in smiles! 😊

With support from a FCF Community Grant, the Dragonfly Centre for Autism helped campers make the most of summer with activities and adventures throughout our region, including a new excursion to Legends Fun Factory on Deer Island.

From exploring new places to spending time with friends and trying new experiences, these outings help campers build connections, develop social skills, and feel included in their community.

The Dragonfly team summed up the summer best: “The summer is measured in smiles and there were certainly lots of them this past summer.”

We’re proud to support the Dragonfly Centre for Autism and the wonderful work they do.☀️

With support from Fundy Community Foundation, Hope Air provided 282 travel arrangements for Southwestern New Brunswick patients in financial need, including 92 flights, 82 nights of accommodation, 40 meals, and 68 ride vouchers. These arrangements helped patients and caregivers reach appointments for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

One of those patients was Seif, a 14-year-old newcomer to Canada who travelled to Toronto for cochlear implant surgery. By arranging flights and accommodations for his family, Hope Air helped ease the stress of last-minute travel so they could focus on supporting Seif through this life-changing moment. FCF was pleased to support Hope Air through a Community Grant.

Since launching in 2025, the Charlotte County Time Bank has grown to 94 members who have exchanged 279 hours of support, helping neighbours connect across interests, experiences, and generations.

Sharing a love of skateboarding, these Time Bank members are working to reinstate the Kiwanis Skatepark in St. Stephen, while encouraging local youth to give the sport a try. FCF was pleased to support the Charlotte County Time Bank through a Community Grant.

There’s lots growing at the Passamaquoddy Children’s Centre this summer! 🌱

Through its Seeds of Play project, the Centre has brought new life to its outdoor space with play materials and garden beds designed to inspire exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

For the Centre, one of the most rewarding parts of the project has been seeing children plant their own food, care for it each day, and watch it grow. Along the way, these little gardeners are learning patience and responsibility, discovering where their food comes from, and developing an appreciation for nature and caring for living things.

FCF was pleased to support the Seeds of Play project through a Community Grant.

A shared meal can nourish more than just the body.

With support from a Fundy Community Foundation Community Grant, The Hub - Eastern Charlotte provided approximately 1,600 free meals over the past year through its Weekly Community Lunch program. The program welcomed seniors, families, and individuals experiencing food insecurity, while also helping connect participants with local organizations and services.

Thank you, The Hub staff and volunteers!
