This year's Thanksgiving Dinner by Diner 271 is now "Sold Out".

Reminder to pick up your dinners on Sunday, October 11 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm from the back door of the Legion. Must be picked up by 4:00 pm.

Thanksgiving Dinner - Orders now open

Diner 271 will be putting out another fantastic "Thanksgiving Dinner" with all the fixins. Why cook when you can have someone else do all the work. Allowing you to spend time with friends & family.

Full turkey dinner with all the side dishes. Even dessert.

Place your orders now. Orders must be in by October 8, 2025 with pick up on October 11, 2025 between Noon & 4:00 pm. And the cost is only $27+GST.

General Meeting - Monday, Sep 28, 2026 @ 7:00 pm

Be sure to come out to the General Meeting coming up on Monday, September 28, 2026 starting at 7:00 pm. This is where you can have your voice heard, and you can hear directly from your Executive Committee and help be a part of our Branch's future.

For those "new" members that have not had an opportunity to come to a meeting yet, since during the Summer we pause them. This will be your chance to see how the day to day operations of your branch perform. You get to hear from our Branch President Comrade Tom Scott, and various committee reports from the rest of your Executive Committee members. Also, in this meeting you will get to hear some reports from the 50th Dominion Convention that was held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from August 22 - 26, 2026. As the Royal Canadian Legion celebrated it's 100th Anniversary.

Also, right after this General Meeting will be the commencement of our election process that happens each year. Following this meeting the nomination forms will go up. Whether you want to see who is running for the various positions, or if you have ambitions yourself to throw your name into the hat to serve as a volunteer on the Executive Committee. There are opportunities for everyone. So come out and be a part of it all.

If you want to be a "voice" at your branch, or just want to know the direction the branch is taking, this is the best way for you to contribute. Meeting starts promptly at 7:00 pm. Please have your membership card ready to present at the sign in table on that evening.

Meetings are held the 4th Monday of each month with the exception of July, August & December. Our elections are held at the Annual General Meeting held in November. This year the date of elections will be November 23, 2026. Every member in good standing is eligible to vote. This is your branch, come out and have a say in it.

We hope to see you all there, and to our newest "Centenary" Members, we welcome you to our branch & we would love to meet you.

Last B**r Garden of the Summer 2026 - Saturday Sep 12, 2026

Join us this Saturday as we host the final b**r garden of the season. There will be entertainment, good friends and comraderie. Fun for the whole family. We hope to see you there as we wrap up our 2026 Summer Season.

We thank everyone that has supported us throughout the Summer. And don't worry, we will be back again next year.

Be sure to stick around after the b**r gardens and maybe check out the events in the branch, or pop in for supper with Diner 271. The meat draws start at 4:00 pm, with "Chase the President" and other fun times to be had by all.

Everyone is Welcome. And remember, the Royal Canadian Legion is celebrating 100 years of providing support to Veterans & their families, and an active member of our communities. Anyone can join.
