I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to gather insights from our community regarding our Teen Center that has been in the works for some time.
The envisioned Teen Center aims to provide a safe and engaging environment for our adolescents. We're planning to offer a variety of recreational activities such as board games, bean bag toss, foosball, air hockey, and more. Additionally, we're looking to incorporate educational support through university student volunteers, as well as counseling services for those who may benefit from it. A designated area for healthy snacks and ample seating will be available to ensure teens have a space to unwind and connect with peers.
Our primary goal is to create a welcoming space where teenagers can thrive and feel supported. Currently, we're considering an age range of approximately 12 to 17 years old.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts on whether such a facility would be beneficial for our community. Do you believe there is a need for a Teen Center in St. Albert? Would you or your family members be interested in utilizing such a space?
Regarding affordability, we're contemplating the following rates: a $5 daily drop-in fee, a $25 monthly rate, or a $250 yearly membership. Your feedback on these proposed rates would be greatly appreciated.
