One of the best parts of Guiding is giving girls opportunities to explore new interests and experiences. The 5th St. Albert Pathfinders and Rangers recently visited the St. Albert Canoe and Kayak Club to try dragon boating on Cardiff Lake.

At our annual Guiding in the Park event in August, we participated in two projects for the St. Albert Community. The first, collecting reusable bags for the St. Albert Food Bank and second, colouring friendship cards for residents at Everitt Gardens.

Jean, a long time Girl Guide member and resident at Everitt, sent us the following message:
Last week a number of beautiful friendship cards made by different levels of Girl Guides were delivered to our building. They were distributed and everybody absolutely loved the cards and it made so many people happy. As they sat around the table, they took turns reading out the notes written inside the cards and then showed others their pictures drawn by the girls. Some were displayed on tables and visitors also were pleased to see them.
Could you please thank the group/groups that did the beautiful cards.

Thank you again to everyone who brought bags and decorated cards. See you next year.

Guiding in the Park is happening this Thursday! Everyone is welcome, families, friends, past and present members of our guiding community. This is a parented event, so please plan to stay along with your entire family.

Make sure to be ready to join us for these group activities at these times *subject to change*:
Parachute Games at 6:30pm
Egg Relay at 6:45pm
Campfire Singsong at 7:00pm

***NEW*** - We will be collecting reusable shopping bags in an effort to support the St. Albert Food Bank. We would greatly appreciate if you could bring any of your unwanted reusable shopping bags and we will pass them along! They can be dropped off at the registration table when you arrive.
