The Fishery Supports Rural Communities and Beyond. Fishing Enterprises Are the Backbone of the Fishery. Let’s Work Together on Smooth Sailings!
------
We support the maintenance and growth of the fishing enterprises in our communities. The fishery is more than a way to make a living for both owners and crew members. Enterprises require year-round effort and that is particularly true between fisheries and seasons when not on the water. There is much work to keep enterprises moving forward in providing quality product to the marketplace while sustaining rural communities and contributing to the economy of the province.
------
The local Community Business Development Corporation (CBDC) serving the Coast of Bays Region on the south coast of NL understands the challenges of fishing enterprise ownership and the importance of the fishery to communities. Purchasing vessels, upgrading boats, purchasing new gear and motors, getting the latest equipment, renovating sheds, expanding licenses, and/or adjusting to different fisheries or changing regulations, is getting more challenging, costly, and complex but there is help. Here at CBDC South Coast we stand with the fishing enterprises and the communities of the Coast of Bays Region. Let’s keep moving forward together!
