Come see us this Saturday June 20th at the Sackville Farmer's Market. We'll tell you more about co-operative housing and what our plans for Freshwinds are!

We will also be gathering names for our 'interested list', so when we are ready to welcome members for moving in, we know who to contact.

Do you think you may be eligible for a housing subsidy because you pay more than 30% of your income on rent? Find out by checking the Government of New Brunswick's eligibility guidelines for receiving a subsidy, at this website:

Freshwinds plans to have 21 of its units rent-geared-to-income, through this government program. You will need to be registered on their list, in order to be considered for one of these units.

Thanks for all of your support! Our request for a variance to our rezoning agreement, that Tantramar Municipal Council reviewed last evening, passed First Reading. It was heartening to know and hear your support, and also to receive it from our municipal government.

This is a good and timely article, somewhat centered around International Women's Day.
We, at Freshwinds, recognize that gender is not the only diversity that is worthy of intentional mentoring, leadership development and succession planning.
Our Board is representative of much of the diversity we expect among our co-operative community at Freshwinds, and intentional leadership development is an ongoing priority for all of us!

Across Canada, community housing organizations are staffed by women in extraordinary numbers. They manage programs, build relationships with tenants, steward public trust, and hold systems together under increasing pressure.
