Call for volunteers! We are looking for someone who could spare a morning or afternoon, once a week, to come and care for our lawns. Proficiency with a ride-on, push mower, and string trimmer would be great (all equipment provided). If this sounds like it might be right up your alley, please email Sarah at [email protected].

Still a few more openings, if you haven't had a chance to sign up yet!
The first session will be held Wednesday, May 27, at the Bill Johnstone Memorial Park building in Sackville (the park by the bandstand), from 11am-12pm. Snacks and childcare will be available, and if you are able to attend, you have a chance to win a gift basket with some kitchen goodies!

Please RSVP to [email protected], so we know to expect you.

Do you want to learn new cooking skills, grow your favourite foods, and be part of a community conversation around food security?

The Sackville Food Bank is excited to partner with Open Sky to offer FREE Food Skills Workshops right here in Sackville. These sessions focus on building practical kitchen skills, learning how to grow and use fresh foods, and getting comfortable with new ingredients.

This is a great opportunity for food bank clients to learn how to cook with items commonly found in your food box, while building confidence in cooking and sharing knowledge together. Everyone is welcome, whether you are just starting out or looking to expand your skills.

The workshops will take place in downtown Sackville. The start date will be announced soon, with more details to come.
