Rycroft & District Lions Club Our Lions Club was started in 1976. Our Mission is to empower volunteers to serve the community. He had been a member of the Lions Club back home.

Rycroft & District Lions Club was started in 1976 by a fellow named Greg Clark who had recently moved to Spirit River. In 1980 a group of ladies formed a Lioness Club to help out the Lions, women were not able to be Lions at that time. The Lioness Club held an annual fashion show for about 10 years. The two clubs worked alongside each other until 1990 when the Lioness Club was dropped by Lions Int

ernational and the women were all able to become Lions Club members. We are proud to support: STARS Air Ambulance; Public Libraries; Camp He Ho Ha; Diabetes; Eye Glass Recycling Programs; Dog Guides; Rycroft Ag society; Safe ID Kits to local kindergarten; the Spirit River Museum; Merry Pioneers in Rycroft; Happy Hour Club in Spirit River; Relay for Life; Sorrentino Compassion House; Canadian Cancer Society and many more over the years.
