Canadian Military Medical Services Virtual Museum The Can Mil Med Svcs Virtual Museum is a Royal Cdn Medical Svcs Assn initiative and OMMC member Wherever possible the source is given.

The is intended to enable visitors to explore Canada’s military medical and health services from the North West Rebellion to recent operations in Afghanistan. Here you will find virtual exhibits and interactive learning resources created by museum volunteers and also be able to access local exhibits and the collections of Regular and Reserve Forces health services units. The historical photographs

reproduced in these pages are either originals held in the various collections or are believed to be in the public domain. All other material known to be copyrighted is reproduced here by permission of the copyright holder. Nursing Sister, N.C.O.s and Men of 2nd Stationary Hospital who have received the Mons star. February, 1918.

The "Mons Star" or 1914 Star was a campaign medal awarded to Commonwealth military personnel who had served in France or Belgium from the start of the First World War until the 22nd of November, 1914. "N.C.O." represents Non Commissioned Officers. The 2nd Stationary Hospital arrived in France on the 9th of November, 1914.
