The Korean War ended July 27, 1953. There are several monuments in Canada and Korea honouring the service and sacrifice of Canadians in that conflict.

For those interested in Canadian history: An article in the July 2026 issue of Plain and Valley "Moosomin's General Andrew McNaughton designated as National Historic Person." The piece explains why the recognition is deserved and the process involved in getting a plaque to be displayed in Moosomin. Details about General McNaughton's life are also available on several online sites.
