Today, we honour the legacy of Louis Riel, the founder of Manitoba. As the Métis leader of the Red River Resistance, he was instrumental in drafting the List of Rights that formed the basis of the Manitoba Act in 1870, bringing our province into Confederation. Let us take this day to remember his contributions and the profound impact he had on our provincial identity. Take action now and share this important history with those around you!

📍 Note: In observance of Louis Riel Day, the WIS office will be closed today. We will resume normal operations on the next business day.
