The Teen Resource Center (or TRC) provides youth aged 13-18 in the Saint John area with a safe and encouraging environment in which to explore their full potential. The center is physically located at 28 Richmond Street in Saint John, NB. In addition to offering a recreation-based after school program and a sexual health centre, the facility offers mental health and addiction counselling services

to at risk youth and as well offers homeless youth a facility to shower, launder clothing and meet with staff who will refer them to other appropriate community services. The TRC Case Management Program is a unique, community-based service that provides much needed assistance for at-risk youth aged 16-24. Case Managers provide consistent encouragement and support to help youth with their educational and employment goals, develop life plans and also work closely with other non-profit organizations and governmental departments to assure all areas of a youth’s life are being addressed. The TRC also offers programs in the community in the areas of sexual health and identity, self-esteem, dealing with peer pressure and independent living.

Our Story

The TRC Case Management Program is a unique, community-based service that provides much needed assistance for at-risk youth aged 16-24. Case Managers provide consistent encouragement and support to help youth with their educational and employment goals, develop life plans and also work closely with other non-profit organizations and governmental departments to assure all areas of a youth’s life are being addressed. The TRC also offers programs in the community in the areas of sexual health and identity, self-esteem, dealing with peer pressure and independent living. On March 27th, 2020 at 7:00 pm at the Susan B. Ganong Theatre (located on the grounds of Rothesay Netherwood School), a group of local musically talented high school and university students will be putting on an event entitled “Youth for Youth” in support of the TRC. It promises to be a fun night show casing local musical talent.
