The NBCRA is the governing body for Chito-Ryu Karate-do in New Brunswick and a member of the National Association of Chito-Ryu Karate-do in Canada which is committed to understanding and propagating the karate-do of its founder O'Sensei Dr. Tsuyoshi Chitose. Chito-Ryu Philosophy

Chito-Ryu Karate was developed from two ancient styles of Okinawan Karate, Shorei Ryu and Shorin Ryu. The creator of Ch

ito-Ryu Tsuyoshi Chitose was a medical doctor who based Chito-Ryu on principles of human physiology. He discovered that some of the exercises and stances being used were detrimental to the health of the students studying Karate. Dr. Chitose's philosophy was also that Karate, as a self-defence system, should include throws and joint immobilization techniques. Today we continue to study and practice the art of Chito-Ryu Karate for health and self-defence.

Fantastic turnout at the Sensei Bisson Clinic today. It was great to see both familiar faces and new friends come together to train in the spirit of Chito Ryu Karate Do. There is nothing quite like an afternoon filled with sweat, hard work, learning, and plenty of laughter.

Thank you Senseis Bisson, McInnes, Mazerolle and Douglass for leading the way.

And a very special congratulations to Pam and Alec on successfully earning their San Dan, Casey on achieving her Ni Dan, and Lucas on receiving his Shodan. These accomplishments are the result of countless hours of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the art. Your hard work week after week has paid off, and you have made your dojo family incredibly proud.

Well done to all who trained today and helped make the clinic such a success.
