KV Woodworking

KV Woodworking The KV Woodworkers Club started in 2002 with a shop at Bradley Lake Community Centre.

In 2007, the club was invited to relocate to Rothesay High School as part of launching the school's industrial arts program- this has been the club's home ever since.

The KV Woodworking club does not offer courses, however new members are provided with an overview of each machine and how to operate it safely. For the novice woodworker, club members will work beside the new member on a project of their choosing. The typical steps are as follows:
• Decide on project (an inspiration photo is helpful)
• Draw a custom plan
• Once plan is finalized, do a cut list
• The amount of wood required is based on the cut list
• Purchase wood from local saw mill (both softwood and hardwood)
• Fabricated project
• Apply finish to project

Annual dues run from October to September and are currently $175.

Access to the school is restricted while students are on site.
All members are subject to a police check due to the shop
being at a school.
