Operation Feed SJ

Operation Feed SJ Operation Feed has been feeding families & children in need since 2021. We have provided 450,000+ meals to children in need in the Saint John area. Take care!

All while empowering veterans & first responders to find healing and purpose within our community. Hey all - we do our best to answer messages Monday to Friday, from 9am-4pm. Messages sent during the weekend will be checked on Monday. This lets us prep for the week ahead as well as spend important quality time with our families.

A big thank you to for their ongoing support! Every month they show up with food bags and a smile.

It is so clear that they care deeply about helping others and fighting hunger in our community.

These bags are such a blessing to the families we serve, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership and generosity.❤️

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - 70 bags of food delivered to our community partners . The 2025/2026 school year has come to an end for Op Feed .
We would like to take a moment to say thank you to all the faculty in the schools that we service.
These men and women go above and beyond to help us help the community. This is not part of their job description but they do it because they want to help us help families in need so thank you !

June marks the end of another wonderful school year, but not before a special visit from our friends Operation Feed SJ! They stopped by with another shipment of grocery bags, now in the hands of families who need them most. 💙

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to OFSJ for their ceaseless support throughout this school year—and for many years running. Your generosity, kindness, and friendship mean so much to our community.

Wishing you a fantastic summer, and we look forward to seeing you again in the fall! 🌟

MISSION UPDATE - The school year is coming to an end and operation Feed has a plan to continue to support the families we feed every month.

This summer Operation Feed will be open as a Food Bank for families in need that receive food vouchers from the school schools we support.
That’s right, if you receive a food voucher from a school we service you’re eligible to get a bag of food from Operation Feed in the months of July / August .

The food vouchers will be registered to an individual and cannot be shared with anyone else.

We will win the war on hunger !

MISSION UPDATE - 🇨🇦 D-DAY REMEMBRANCE | HONOURING SACRIFICE THROUGH SERVICE 🇨🇦

On June 6, 1944, more than 14,000 Canadians landed on the beaches of Normandy. By the end of that first day, 359 Canadians had made the ultimate sacrifice, and thousands more would carry the physical and emotional scars of war for the rest of their lives.

Their courage helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

At Operation Feed Saint John, we believe remembrance is more than looking back—it is carrying their legacy forward through action.

Every day, we work to feed the bellies of the most vulnerable, ensuring children and families facing food insecurity have access to nutritious meals and support when they need it most.

At the same time, we provide purpose after service for Veterans and First Responders. Through camaraderie, community, and meaningful service, we create a sanctuary where those who have dedicated their lives to helping others can continue to find connection, healing, and purpose.

The generation that stormed the beaches of Normandy showed us what service, sacrifice, and community truly mean.

We honour that legacy by serving our community today.

🌺 Remember the fallen.
🍽️ Feed a family in need.
🤝 Support a Veteran or First Responder.
🇨🇦 Carry the legacy forward.

Lest We Forget.

MISSION UPDATE - FITNESS WITH PURPOSE

Today’s workout wasn’t just about reps, distance, or sweat—it was about resilience.

✅ 800m Run
✅ 25 Burpees
✅ 800m Run
✅ 50 Squats
✅ 800m Run
✅ 75 Push-Ups
✅ 800m Run
✅ 100 Lunges
✅ 800m Run
✅ 50 Leg Lifts

The sweat left on the gym floor tells a story. Not of exhaustion, but of determination. Every drop represents a choice to keep moving forward, even when it gets uncomfortable.

For veterans and first responders, recovery isn’t only about addressing the wounds we can see. It’s also about strengthening the mind, managing stress, rebuilding confidence, and creating healthy routines that support long-term wellness.

Physical fitness plays a critical role in that journey. Exercise has been shown to improve mood, reduce anxiety, support mental clarity, and provide a positive outlet for stress and trauma. When we challenge our bodies, we often discover a renewed strength within our minds.

A healthy body and a healthy mind work together. One supports the other.

At Operation Feed, we believe recovery is not just about surviving—it’s about thriving. Through physical activity, community, accountability, and purpose, we help veterans and first responders build the foundation for lasting wellness.

The mission doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. We continue to serve ourselves, our families, and each other by investing in our physical and mental health every day.

Train the body. Strengthen the mind. Support the mission.

MISSION UPDATE - Operation Feed is proud to support an incredible initiative led by Captain Mike Dullege — a Family Medicine resident at the University of Alberta and member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

This summer, from July 31 to August 3, Mike and a team of volunteer soldiers and civilians will take 15 at-risk youth from Edmonton to Rocky Mountain House for an unforgettable outdoor experience through Operation Drift Away.

Many of these youth have experienced trauma, are currently in care, or have been excluded from traditional camp programs due to age or complex circumstances. This program gives them something many of us take for granted — a chance to connect, grow, heal, and experience the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.

Over four days, these kids will camp, hike, mountain bike, and raft while learning resiliency, survival, teamwork, and confidence-building skills from current and former military members. To close out the experience, a Canadian folk singer will lead a songwriting workshop to help these youth find and share their voices.

To make this possible, Mike is fundraising for essential outdoor equipment including:
• Sleeping bags & mats
• Headlamps
• Water bottles
• Camping chairs & pillows
• Hygiene supplies
• Sunscreen & basic camp gear

For many participants, access to this equipment is the only thing standing between them and this life-changing experience.

If you’re able to support, donate, or share this campaign, it would mean the world. Every contribution helps give these kids an opportunity they may never otherwise have.

Please consider supporting Operation Drift Away. 🇨🇦
