It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Thomas James Ridgley, husband of Rose Marie (Abbott) Ridgley, announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 15, 1949, in Halifax, NS, Tom spent most of his life in Saint John, where he worked at Moosehead Breweries for 35 years until his retirement. Tom loved music, especially when attending many concerts of his favourite bands. Tom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #58 in Rothesay. He enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle, and when he wasn’t running the road, he loved to fish. Besides his loving wife, Rose Marie “Mama”, Tom is survived by his stepdaughter Heather McGrath (Alex), stepson Stephen McGrath (Lori), step grandchildren; Megan Clouthier (Corey), Bella McGrath, and Trent McGrath, sisters; Noreen Fox (Ondon) and Carolyn Ridgley, brother-in-law Rick Abbott (Moe), sisters-in-law; Lorraine Abbott, Pam MacLean, Darlene Hersey (Brian), Diane Sentner, and Donna Ridgley, as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. In keeping with Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506-849-2119). For those who wish, donations in memory of Tom can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Red Head Strays, would be appreciated.
