🌟 National Accessibility Week 🌟

At the Vocational Training Centre, National Accessibility Week is a time to celebrate inclusion, recognize abilities, and continue advocating for a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Every day at VTC, we see firsthand the incredible talents, determination, and potential of the individuals we serve. Accessibility is about more than ramps and doorways, it’s about creating opportunities, removing barriers, fostering belonging, and ensuring every person has the chance to learn, grow, contribute, and succeed.

We are proud to support adults with disabilities through meaningful programming, employment opportunities, skill development, and community engagement. Together with our participants, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners, we are building a more inclusive future where everyone is valued for their unique strengths.

This week, and every week, we celebrate the achievements of our participants and remain committed to creating spaces where potential can truly bloom.

Today, we were honored to be invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Event with Lunch Connection

For more than five years, our participants have proudly volunteered their time helping prepare lunches for children in our community. During that time, over 38 participants have played a role in this meaningful program, developing valuable skills, building confidence, and experiencing the joy that comes from helping others.

At the Vocational Training Centre, we believe that everyone has potential. Through opportunities like volunteering with Lunch Connection, we see that potential bloom every day as participants discover their strengths, give back to their community, and make a real difference in the lives of others.

We are incredibly proud of each and every participant who has contributed to this program over the years. Thank you to Bonnie Hunt for allowing us to be part of something so special.
