The Wild Turkey Inn will be a venue for the upcoming Columbia Basin Trust Tour August 8-9, and is now accepting applications from visuals artists of all mediums!

🎨 CALL FOR ARTISTS 🎨

The Wild Turkey Inn is excited to be a venue for the 2026 Columbia Basin Culture Tour on August 8–9, and we're inviting artists from Rossland, Trail, and Warfield to exhibit and sell their work at the inn as part of this year's Tour.

We’re delighted to be partnering with Elise Tigges and Sharon Roberts to bring the vision to life! Elise is a dance artist, educator, researcher, and administrator, soon to be based in Rossland, BC. Sharon works as a community arts consultant serving the Kootenay region.

Together, we envision creating an atmosphere somewhere between an outdoor gallery and an artisan market, with artwork displayed throughout the gardens and grounds of the Inn.

Painters, photographers, potters, fibre artists, printmakers, and all other visual artists are welcome to apply.

Our goal is simple: celebrate and showcase the incredible artistic talent right here in our local community.

Calling experienced painters 🎨

The Rossland Arts Centre Society is thrilled to partner with RCAC to present a two-day observational painting workshop with Louise Drescher this June.

This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced painters interested in expanding their approach to:
✨ Composition & design
✨ Colour and value
✨ Brushwork and texture
✨ Painting from direct observation

Participants will spend time sketching outdoors in Rossland before developing paintings in the studio environment.

Thank you to the Rossland Seniors Painting group for collecting a generous sum of donations for the Drill Hall renovation at their recent Art Show and Sale! The event was held on April 25 at the Rossland Seniors Centre, and featured over 100 pieces of beautiful paintings that were created over the past few years under the instruction of artists Jennie Baillie, Frank Mitchell and Sharon Ham. We were pleased to lend them our amazing and sturdy easels that were built by Michelle Daoust and Doug Orr, and generously funded by a donation from the Wild Turkey Inn. We love being a part of artists supporting artists in our community!!

The numbers are finally in! The Golden City Gala has brought in $14,000 in sales from the art auction!! The Rossland Art Centre and the Rotary Club of Rossland would like to thank everyone that attended this amazing event, everyone that donated art for the auction, the Rossland Museum and Discovery Centre and all of the sponsors that helped make this event possible. Proceeds from the Gala will be used to upgrade the drill hall for use as a community art centre!
