❤️ Badlands Search And Rescue Member Appreciation Get-Together! ❤️

Today was all about celebrating the incredible people who make up Badlands Search And Rescue!

Our members give their time, energy, skills, and countless hours to help others when they need it most. Today, we get to hit pause on the radios, leave the gear at the door, and enjoy some good food, laughs, and great company.

To every member of our team: thank you for everything you do, for the calls you answer, the training you put in, and the support you give to your community. You truly make a difference. ❤️

Here’s to the team, the friendships, the memories, and hopefully a few stories that stay at the BBQ! 😂

MEMBER APPRECIATION DAY.

Busy morning prepping and smoking. Up early to get the brisket on for our pot luck member appreciation today. Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to do what we do! Thank you to each and everyone of our members who sacrifices time away from family and friends to help others when they need it.

BSAR has been tasked with searching for overdue kayakers along the Red Deer River. We will be on the river as well as well as the shorelines today.

💔 We are deeply saddened by the outcome of the search for Parker Wells. SAR Alberta staff and volunteers supported the search, holding onto hope throughout. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Parker's parents, family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are also with everyone who cared about Parker, including those who took time to assist in the search. Thank you to all who gave it your best.

Two mutual aid taskings today and tomorrow. One in Calgary, one in Waterton. Resources are stretched pretty thin. Human Resources are the most valuable. This highlights the need for more SAR volunteers. Please reach out to your local SAR Team for information.
