Langdon Fire Station 111 In case of emergency, contact 911 immediately. Langdon Fire Station 111 is one of seven fire stations serving Rocky View County, Alberta.

Our response area is roughly from Boundary Road to the East, Highway 564 to the North, the Bow River to the South, and as far as Calgary to the West. Fire and rescue emergency services are provided to Langdon and the SE Rocky View County community by a diverse group of about 31 paid-on-call volunteers with backgrounds in a wide variety of trades, engineering and other professions. Our team is made

up of men and women firefighters trained to the NFPA 1001 Professional Firefighter Qualifications standard and are led by a dedicated group of lieutenants, captains, and a station chief.

Units from Rocky View County Wheatland County and the city of Calgary are dealing with multiple fire and an accident on Highway 22X between Langdon and Indus. Please avoid the area if possible thank you.

The Langdon Volunteer Firefighters Assoc. has received the proceeds of this year's Smile Cookie campaign and we couldn’t be more thankful for the community’s support.
Together we raised $9069.55!!!!

Station 111 would like to acknowledge newly appointed Acting Lieutenant, Dylan Alaric, on his first ever landing & launch of the STARS Air Ambulance helicopter. The roll of “Landing Zone Officer” is a critical function in our fire service, and one of the many areas we train on in order to achieve competency in our roll within the chain of survival.

Your Langdon Volunteer Firefighters will join the LCA at the Langdon McDonalds from 5pm to 7pm with fun activities. Stop by and chat with the Firefighters, tour the fire truck, learn about all our tools as we support the LCA in this years McHappy Day event. Hope to see you there!

“Fire Ban” Now declared for East/West Rocky View County

Due to continued dry & windy weather conditions, Rocky View County Fire Services is increasing the fire risk status into a “FIRE BAN” for both East and West regions of Rocky View County, effective immediately.

All current burn barrel usage and wood burning fires and are to be extinguished immediately. Fires should be extinguished using the “soak, stir, soak and monitor” method to confirm they are fully out.

This Ban will remain in effect as long as high-risk conditions remain.

During a FIRE BAN, all burning and fireworks permits are suspended, and BURNING IS BANNED, with the following exceptions:

Indoor household fireplaces
Camp stoves (properly attended)
Barbecues (charcoal briquettes, propane, or natural gas)
Wood pellet grills
Propane/natural gas fire pit
Oil well flaring (registration required -- call 403-264-1022)

Fire advisory declared for east and west Rocky View County.

Rocky View County has issued a fire advisory for both east and west Rocky View County, effective immediately. The advisory comes as the local forecast calls for warm conditions heading into the weekend.

All burn, and fireworks permits are suspended.

At 1030pm this evening your Langdon Volunteer Firefighters are once again answering the call for help. Tonight we are sending a crew out to the NW corner of the county close to Ghost Lake to assist with this afternoons wild fire. Our crew will work through the night with our fellow RVC stations who have worked tirelessly throughout this afternoon and late evening to contain this fire. Another crew from Langdon will depart at 7am tomorrow morning to replace our night shift. We wish them safe travels.
