Clearwater County has received notice from a local cattle producer that a cattle drive will be taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The move will take place on Oras Road between Township Road 39-2 & 39-4.

If possible, please consider alternate travel routes to reduce traffic congestion.

Please drive with caution.

Each year The Rocky Ag Society presents 5 - $1000 bursaries to qualifying students from Clearwater County. Ahead of Agricultural Societies Day, September 21, the Rocky Ag Society thanked its directors and many volunteers on September 15 at a meeting and social held at the farm of Connie and Rick Kwantes (thank you Connie and Rick for the hospitality!). In the words of Tim Carson (CEO of the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies) "Agricultural Societies are powered by people who care deeply about their communities. What a great day at the Leslieville Block Party yesterday! Thank you to all the organizers of this annual event - there was something for everyone...information booths, interactive displays, lots of very talented vendors, a car show, wagon rides and much more! Thanks to Cheryl and girls, Nicole and Curtis for looking after the RAS booth. Participants were able to spin the wheel and answer ag related questions, try their hand at identifying the various seeds and grains or to roll up their sleeves and assist with a difficult calving! Thanks Nicole for bringing the seed display and calving demo to the booth.
