Country Fun Nature Camp at Tucker House

Country Fun Nature Camp at Tucker House Country Fun Nature Camp is a non-denominational Christian eco-camp that focuses on nurturing children's love for God, self, others, and the environment.

Country Fun Nature Camp is an environmental day camp program for children aged 5-13 run at the Tucker House Renewal Centre, a beautiful historic retreat just east of Ottawa. Camp activities take place in a natural setting of old-growth forest, wetlands, fields, a limestone quarry, and organic gardens. A typical day at County Fun includes arts and crafts, outdoor games, a daily swim in our in-groun

d pool, nature walks, interactive Bible studies, and snack time. Wherever possible, all activities are tied to themes of nature and environmental education. This summer, Country Fun Nature Camp will be organizing mobile programs in areas around Ottawa with camp-style activities including games, songs, story times, crafts, STEM activities, nature-walks and more designed to engage and enrich children's minds and bodies. Our programs are fun and educational as we ensure to entertainingly involve historical, scientific, and artistic concepts into our activities. They are mainly nature-themed, but we are also offering activities that pertain to indigenous reconciliation. If you are interested in booking a program, please email us at [email protected]

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Colin "Soft Rocky" McGregor. Together with Iso "Farmer McGregor" he built the organic gardens and provided years of leadership and physical, intellectual, financial, moral, and prayer support for Tucker House and Country Fun. Campers and alumni will remember his enthusiastic teachings about geology ... and the fact that he could race them to the quarry (and often win, even as an elder!). He had fantastic slide-shows of his travels and learnings from around the world. Cedar still uses some of his hand-drawn fossil explanations during Rock Talk times.

Duncan McGregor passed away 2021. This is the full obituary where you can express condolences and share memories. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 2021-10-21.

I don't know if I'll have time for a new Halloween comic this year because pigeon book stuff is intense. I hope I will, but here's my favorite older one 🎃
