Quarter Century in Aviation Club Based in Vancouver, Canada, the Quarter Century in Aviation Club is a social venue for people from the aviation industry to meet and make new friends.

The Quarter Century in Aviation Club was formed in 1952 in Vancouver to provide a social venue where people of all areas of aviation could meet old friends and create new ones and share their experiences and stories. The Club meets on the third Tuesday of October, November, January, February, March, and April at the Richmond Curling Club, 5540 Hollybridge Way, located in Richmond. A very good buff

We are always looking for new members, so please join us at one of our dinner meetings, have a great meal and meet new and old friends! When the Club was formed half a century ago, the intention was that members would have 25 years experience in the industry. Today, the Club welcomes aviation people with all levels of experience, and looks forward to meeting you!

The Aero Club of BC/COPA Flight 16 is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Aero Club of BC.

The club was originally formed in 1915, (Only six years after the first flight in the then British Empire, at Baddeck N.S. in 1909 in Alexander Graham Bell’s Silver Dart.) This club lays claim to being the oldest flying club in Canada and possibly in the British Commonwealth! Aero Club members were instrumental in the founding of YVR on Sea Island, and they also played a prominent role in the British Commonwealth Air Training Program (BCATP) during WW II.

Please come out and celebrate this historic milestone with the Aero Club members, at the Pitt Meadows Airport on Saturday, August 29th.

The day time fly-in and events will be followed by a banquet in the beautiful new Sky Helicopters hangar and the entertainment will be provided by a 1940s swing type band. In order to allow for the catering requirements it is necessary that the banquet tickets ($45.00) be purchased no later than Tuesday, August 18th. We would like to thank Cam Kowalski of the RCMP for speaking at the dinner last night. He educated us about the dangers caused by lasers and drones, specific to the aviation industry. These items require more stringent regulation and Cam has been working on this issue for the past several years.
