The Sharing Farm Our community farm grows food for the Richmond Food Bank on 4.5 acres in Richmond, BC with dedicated volunteer support. We grow food. We grow farmers.

We grow community. The Sharing Farm grows food to feed Richmond families in need. The Farm is run by community members for community members, and is dedicated to providing fresh, healthy, local produce to our less fortunate neighbours. The Sharing Farm operates on a small budget, but thanks to the generosity of our over 1,000 yearly volunteers and the devotion of a small core of part-time staff, T

he Farm is able to provide thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables every year to community meals throughout the city and the Richmond Food Bank. Our vegetables are on the plates of up to 2,000 people a week!

Our Farmstand will be open tomorrow from 3-7pm at the Farm!

Some highlight items this week include cantaloupe, a variety of root veg (beets, rainbow carrots, potatoes and Hakurai turnips), red beefsteak tomatoes, colorful heirloom tomatoes, and cherry tomatoes!

With Garlic Fest quickly approaching on Saturday, August 15th, we are very excited to announce several of our food vendors that will be attending:

The Sharing Farm will also be selling salad plates, drinks, popcorn, and ice cream!🥬🍿🧄🍦

We are super excited to share our schedule for Garlic Fest this year!
In addition to the countless vendors attending the event, we will also have programming running throughout the day. From live music to wildlife talks, there is something for everyone! Read below for our full schedule:

Tall Shadow Bakery will be joining us again this week at our Farmstand for a bakery pop-up!

A bit more about Tall Shadow Bakery:
What started as a beloved farmers' market staple, Tall Shadow Bakery has grown into one of East Vancouver's popular bakeries. Founded by bakers Dayle Kennedy and Cass Helps, Tall Shadow has built its reputation on sourdough made with local, organic grains, earning a loyal following and quietly supplying bread to some of the city's best restaurants. Located in the heart of Hastings-Sunrise, the bakery offers an extensive spread of bread, pastries, tartines and sandwiches, and a full coffee program. In this neighbourhood, where the owners have lived for years, Tall Shadow is as much a community gathering place as it is a bakery.

We're excited to welcome BeSharp Sharpening to this year's Richmond Garlic Festival!

Bring your gardening and kitchen tools along and have them professionally sharpened while you enjoy the festival. Not only will your tools work better and last longer, but 50% of all sharpening proceeds will be donated to The Sharing Farm, helping us grow fresh, healthy food for our community.

Just like our strawberries, our field crew is so sweet. They always have the best attitudes, are so hard working, and contribute so much towards making the Farm the special place that it is! ☀️☀️
