About the League

* The Richmond Cosom Floor Hockey Association has been operating in Richmond for 30 years.
* We typically register between 400 and 500 boys and girls from 6 through 17.
* The season runs from early October through the end of February with a wrap up tournament in early March.
* Girls and boys play in separate divisions.
* Each team plays one game per week.
* Team practices are held once a week at various elementary gyms depending on availability.
* Younger divisions play at Gilmore Elementary while older divisions play at J.N. The RCFHA philosophy is:

* Equal playing time for all team members
* Play the puck, not the opponent
* When the game ends, the competition ends

A successful weekend of scrimmages! 🏒🏒🥅

What a way to get our community back together for some friendly pre-season matchups 😎 the best thing about scrimmages is making new friends with players you haven’t played with before 🤝

Behind these each of these events is a team of volunteers working tirelessly to make sure everything runs smooth, and everyone has a great time. Be sure to thank our volunteers next time you see one!

Evaluations are a highlight every year as we wind up for another season of Cosom action 😎

They’re our opportunity to ensure your teams are balanced so everyone has fun, meet and introduce new members to our community, and for our players to pick up a hockey stick again and shake off the summer rust 🏒

As always, thank you to our volunteers who make this possible! These events are only possible with their generous contributions 🙏

Another year another BLOCK PARTY!! 🎉

This year our event featured arts and crafts and visits from local politicians running in our upcoming Richmond Election!

Of course, this is on top of our regular fare of snacks and hockey 🏒

We hope you all had as much fun as we did! 😁

Thank you to our volunteers who came to help for last week’s Walter Lee welcome event!

This event was all about giving some fun for kids to enjoy, and help families sign up and join our community!

Special thanks to Sally who served as a fantastic leader for our new members of our volunteer team!
