The Burr House Spinners and Weavers Guild is a vibrant collection of fibre art enthusiasts, artisans, and artists. The Guild has been active in the Richmond Hill, Ontario community since 1982. Guild members’ skills range from novice to experienced in a wide variety of fibre arts, including spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, quilting, dyeing, felting, basketry and tapestry. So that our member
s can learn, create, and share knowledge in the fibre arts, our supportive environment includes:

… a fully equipped weaving studio with floor looms and work stations accessible every day to members to create in
… an extensive reference lending library that includes books, magazines and other publications about weaving and spinning as well as other fiber arts, textile history and methods from around the world and contemporary approach.
.. a collection of specialty equipment that can be used in the Guild Hall as well as borrowed for home use
.. speciatly interest groups that meet weekly and monthly, in person as well as on Zoom, to explore new techniques and to work with others who can give feedback and encouragement
