A great evening of fellowship, friendship and community as members of the Richmond Hill Rotary Club gathered at El Bocho Mexican Restaurant for a social night out. 🌮🍹

Rotary is very honoured that this year’s primary beneficiary of the 2026 Richmond Hill Rotary Craft Beer Festival will be Hill House Hospice!

Living with a serious illness or providing care for a loved one as they near end-of-life, can be very difficult. Hill House Hospice is here for you. They provide, at no cost – thanks to the generosity of donors, community partners and government funding – expert medical care and compassionate hearts that focus on quality of life in a home-like setting. At Hill House, people can live life as fully as possible with dignity and respect in the final stage before death. People come from and beyond to Hill House Hospice.

Hill House Hospice is currently fundraising for a major expansion, from supporting three beds to twelve. Last year’s Craft Beer Fest raised $8,600 to this effort. Please help us support Hill House again this year!

Our club meeting last week was quite busy. Firstly, we had two distinguished visitors, Superintendent Kolin Alexander from District 2 of York Regional Police. At the meeting, we had the great pleasure of inducting Amir Bigloo, PhD, as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill. Among Amir’s many achievements, he served for eight years as the founding CEO of CCI Wireless, an Alberta-based rural broadband service provider. We look forward to Amir joining Rotary and helping to serve our community. Congratulations Amir!

Today was the annual Walk for Hill House Hospice. In spuite iof drizzly weather, hundreds of walkers, volunteers and benefactors showed up, including David West, Mayor, Richmond Hill, Ontario, MPP Michael Parsa, MP Vincent Neil Ho, Deputy Mayor Godwin Chan, RH Councillor Simoncui and Councillor Karen Cilevitz.

Hill House is currently fundraising to be able to expand their facilities from 3 to 12 beds. They located in behind the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA).

Richmond Hill Rotary was honoured to be supporting at the event.

What an amazing evening at our Rotary Wine Tasting Event in support of Hill House Hospice! 🍷💛

A huge thank you to our Chair and Co-Chair for their incredible leadership, hard work and dedication in bringing together such a successful event along with our amazing committee members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the evening possible.

A very special thank you as well to Southbrook Organic Vineyards for the fantastic wine selection and for sharing his knowledge and passion while speaking about the different wines throughout the evening. It truly added such a special touch to the event and created such an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Thank you as well to David West, Mayor, Richmond Hill, Ontario Superintendent Kolin Alexander from District 2, York Regional Police, Richmond Hill Board of Trade our District Governor Laura Bradford from RotaryNewmarket and Chouljian Sonya from our fellow Rotary Club for always coming out to help and support our club.

Most importantly THANK YOU to everyone in the community who came out to support this wonderful fundraiser and meaningful cause.

The evening was filled with community, connection, leadership, generosity and giving back. We are so fortunate to have such an incredible community supporting Hill House Hospice And our community! 🍷💛
