AlgomaTrad AlgomaTrad: cultivating joyful and inclusive community through traditional music, dance and craft

06/02/2026

We are so excited for the contra/ceili/square dance at the AlgomaTrad Centre this Saturday (June 6) at 7pm - especially since it will be the first one of this year that happens down in the Pavilion! If you feel inclined to come over a bit early, we will also be having a community potluck at 6pm (all are welcome!), and a workbee at 4pm to put up our big tent for the year.

Join us at the AlgomaTrad Centre (1249 F&G Line, St. Joseph Island) for a fun evening of music, dance, and good company. Each dance will be taught and called by our wonderful caller Rod Martin - no experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome. Even if you're not interested in dancing, come and enjoy the live traditional tunes, provided by local musicians and learners!

To help cover the costs of running a dance, suggested admission is $15/adult, $10/student 13+, children 12 & under free, or Pay-What-You-Can. Snacks to share are always welcome as well!

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
