‼️NOTICE‼️Monday, August 17, 2026‼️

Household Supplement POs will be issued on Monday, August 17, 2026, will account for food and cleaning supplies.

These will be available as credit at the River of Fire Market. Each credit will be $200 per person. This is to assist welfare recipients with food and cleaning supplies. For WELFARE RECIPIENTS only.

‼️POs are only available starting Monday, August 17, 2026, and will not be available for use before that date‼️Please be advised to use the PO within two months.‼️

We would like to send a friendly reminder to clients, to please be courteous, patient and respectful towards staff, management and fellow shoppers while shopping at ROFM.

Due to extreme heat in the Band Office Building and the A/C not working, the Band Office will be closing today at 3:00pm.

‼️PLEASE PICK UP ANY WELFARE, ASSISTED LIVING AND SCHOOL CLOTHES CHEQUES BEFORE 3PM ‼️

The Elsipogtog Social Development office will reopen at 8:30am on Monday, August 10, 2026

‼️ DISABILITY INCOME SUPPORT APPLICATIONS ‼️

‼️ Minimum age for applying for disability is 16-17 years old, up to age 64 years old who are on Social Assistance. ‼️

1. For those with any medical conditions, pick up Medical Assessment Form from the Social Development Front Desk to be filled out by physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist documenting the disability.

2. Once Medical Assessment Form is filled out, call (506) 523-4676 or come at the Elsipogtog Social Development front desk to schedule an appointment with your Welfare Officer. An appointment must be made to submit Medical Assessment Form. Once at the appointment, your Welfare Officer can explain the Disability Income Support and answer your questions.

School clothing cheques will be issued on Thursday, August 6, 2026, to those who are on Social with school aged children. ‼️ WELFARE RECIPIENTS ONLY ‼️

School clothing cheques are $100 per child that are school aged. (Children turning 4 years old by end of December 2026, up to age 17 years old.)

‼️SOCIAL WILL MAKE SEPARATE CHEQUES FOR CHILDREN ENROLLED IN HEADSTART ONCE FINAL HEADSTART LIST IS SENT ‼️

Cheques will have to be picked up and will not be mailed out.

Cheques will be given out from 8:30 am to 4pm.

‼️WELFARE NOTICE ‼️ Wednesday, July 22, 2026 ‼️

Please be advised that Welfare, Physical Cheques and Direct Deposit, and Assisted Living cheques will be given out on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, due to half day on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

The office will be open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday for cheques to be picked up. The office will ONLY be open from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday to pick up any remaining cheques.

REMINDER POST ‼️ PUBLIC NOTICE ‼️ July 14 & 15, 2026 ‼️TOMORROW

Please be advised that on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 (TOMORROW) and Wednesday, July 15, 2026, that the Welfare Officers and Case Managers will be out of office to attend training/workshops.

No appointments will be made during that time.

The Front Desk will still be open to take calls and pass out cheques that were not previously picked up from the week before, and if there are any concerns or emergencies, the Front desk will help to the best of their abilities.
