The Emergency Services Food Drive is coming up on Wednesday, Sept 16 and we’re looking for volunteers to help collect food, sort donations and keep the night running smoothly.

A big thank you to the BC Interior Forestry Museum! 💚

The museum has been incredibly welcoming to our Supported Child Development Program (SCDP) this summer, generously providing free admission for our support workers and the youth they support.

Our groups have loved exploring the museum and its attractions, and we’re so grateful for the kindness and support from the museum team each time we visit.

A quick note about our September schedule:
- Sept. 8 & 10: Drop-In open as usual
- Sept. 15 & 17: No Community Drop-In

Drop-In is a welcoming, low-barrier space where you can connect with our team, access support and resources, or simply stop by. No appointment needed and all services are free to access.

Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket — and to the incredible local businesses who donated prizes — our Summer Raffle raised over $9,000! 🎉

Every dollar helps Community Connections continue providing programs and services that support people across Revelstoke, from food security and family supports to youth services, healthy aging and community outreach.

What an adventure!

Last week, a group of seniors with our Healthy Aging team took to the water for an unforgettable rafting trip with Apex Raft Company , and judging by the smiles, it was a hit!

From taking on the rapids to enjoying a beautiful day out on the water together, there were plenty of laughs along the way. A highlight came when two adventurous participants took the front seats for the “Rodeo” rapid, only to tumble backwards into the raft as they hit it, laughing all the way!

A big thank you to Apex Rafting for providing a discounted rate and Tourism Revelstoke for helping with the costs, making this adventure more accessible for our group.

We love creating opportunities for local seniors to get out, try something new, and share memorable experiences together. 💛

At Community Connections, our Front Desk is much more than answering phones and greeting visitors. You are often the first person someone meets when they reach out for support — and the way they are welcomed matters. 💛
We’re looking for someone with front desk, reception, or customer service experience who is:
✨ Warm, approachable and professional
✨ Empathetic and a great listener
✨ Comfortable connecting with people from all walks of life
✨ Able to provide service with respect, dignity and without judgment
✨ Interested in doing work that has a real impact in our community
This could be a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to use their skills in a role where small interactions can make a meaningful difference.
📅 15 hours/week — Mondays & Tuesdays
💰 Starting wage: $22.84/hour
