This Canada Day, a special pop-up dinner will take place in collaboration with Sacred Cuisine, organized with our friends from Apartheid-Free Communities.

The evening will feature Palestinian Chef Izzeldin Bukhari, presenting a curated multi-course menu rooted in the food traditions of Gaza.

His cooking focuses on vegetarian and vegan dishes, influenced by Sufi culinary heritage and broader Palestinian food traditions.

🛶 PADDLE TO SX̌WNÍTKW – CANOE JOURNEY 2026 🐟✨

Join us for a meaningful day of culture, connection, and honouring the sacred relationship between the people, the water, and the salmon. This gathering is an opportunity to come together in a good way—to learn, paddle, share food, and celebrate community while recognizing the teachings and traditions carried through these waters since time immemorial.

Tickets: $15 Adults | $5 Children

Come walk alongside community, honour Indigenous knowledge, celebrate the salmon, and gather in respect for the land, waters, and all our relations. Everyone is welcome. 💙

Ride for Palestine is back for week! Join our team! Link in bio

By joining the team and logging your kilometres ridden, you can show support and raise much needed funds for Gaza. Humanity in Revelstoke will donate a dollar for every km tracked to the mutual aid program run by the
- an incredible cycling team of amputee athletes in Gaza who support their community by distributing aid.

Our team raised an incredible $2950 CAD for the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter in their Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser! Thank you everyone for your generous donations and support! The free counselling provided by the Women’s Shelter is invaluable to the health and well-being of our friends, family and neighbours. By helping to fund real community care, we’re building the kind of community that every single person deserves.

We were also able to match that amount raised through private donations! The matching donation was split between:
- Hammoud Jamous and family in Gaza
- Sudanese American Physicians Association x Every Pregnancy
- Focus Congo x Aid for Women in Congo

From Revelstoke to Palestine and beyond, there are no limits to community ❤️

Fernie Pride grieves in solidarity with the community of Tumbler Ridge. We are holding the students, families, teachers, staff, and first responders in our hearts. We hold you with care.

Tragedy is too small a word to express the events that occurred. And standing in solidarity feels too small an act.

But we have to remember that now is a time for truth, compassion, and community. Not a time for misinformation and impatience.

Violence is not caused by gender identity or Trans Identities. Attempts to weaponize tragedy to target Trans, Non-Binary, and Two-Spirit people are harmful. Violence cannot be allowed to beget violence.

As we move forward, we do so united in our compassion, supporting those in unimaginable grief.

Safety starts with the environments we build, created with intentionality, compassion, and inclusion. These events never should have happened but we cannot undo them. When the time is right, we can only work to ensure that it never happens again.

But for now, we offer love.

Listening to the Jewish community in Revelstoke means listening to the anti-Zionist Jewish residents as well.

This community member has been a part of Humanity in Revelstoke since we first began organizing. His experience and insights are invaluable but he has never centered himself in this movement. The only reason why he is sharing his letter is because it’s the responsibility of every single person to stand against genocide and apartheid. While anti-semitism is very real, it’s not anti-semitic to call an apartheid state an apartheid state. It’s not hateful to call for an end to Canada’s complicity. It’s not controversial to want all people to live in safety and dignity.
