Joanne is a BC Licensed Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator. She is Manager of Care at the Stepping Stones $10 A Day Child Care Centre and also supports the year round Saturday drop in programs at the Revelstoke Early Years Centre!

Thank you to all who attended the open house celebration of the Stepping Stones infant and toddler expansion project!

The Revelstoke Child Care Society Board of Directors and educator team were honoured to host Steve Morissette MLA for Kootenay-Monashee representing the Ministry of Education and Child Care on behalf of Minister Lisa Beare; Amanda Murphy, Columbia Basin Trust Community Liaison; School District 19 Board of Education; School District19 Leadership team; City of Revelstoke Councillors Aaron Orlando, Matt Cherry, Revelstoke City Councillor and Tim Stapenhurst; Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce; children and families; project contractors; and community members to the celebration.

Thank you to B.C.'s Ministry of Education and Child Care, Government of Canada, School District 19, and the Columbia Basin Trust for recognizing and prioritizing the economic and social importance of quality, accessible and affordable child care programs and investing in Revelstoke families.

The Revelstoke Child Care Society, together with School District 19 (Revelstoke) is pleased to announce the completion of our current expansion project! We invite you to our upcoming open house in celebration of our infant toddler child care expansion at Stepping Stones Child Care.

RCCS is deeply grateful for our partnership with School District 19 for bringing this vision forward. Generous funding has been provided by the ChildCareBC New Spaces Fund, School District 19 and the Columbia Basin Trust. The project includes the addition of 12 new infant toddler spaces as well as building upgrades to ensure sustainability for all child care spaces in the facility.

We hope that you are able to join us at 4:30 on July 15th to tour Stepping Stones Child Care (1401 1st St W) and join us in celebrating this step forward in increasing the number of quality, affordable infant toddler child care spaces in our community.
