🛶 PADDLE TO SX̌WNÍTKW – CANOE JOURNEY 2026 🐟✨

Join us for a meaningful day of culture, connection, and honouring the sacred relationship between the people, the water, and the salmon. This gathering is an opportunity to come together in a good way—to learn, paddle, share food, and celebrate community while recognizing the teachings and traditions carried through these waters since time immemorial.

Tickets: $15 Adults | $5 Children

Come walk alongside community, honour Indigenous knowledge, celebrate the salmon, and gather in respect for the land, waters, and all our relations. Everyone is welcome. 💙

Today, on Moose Hide Campaign Day, people across Canada are wearing moose hide pins as a collective stand against gender-based violence. This small piece of moose hide carries a powerful message of solidarity and a commitment to ending gender-based violence in all its forms.

We all have a role to play. Ending the violence starts with conversations and actions that everyone can take, especially men and boys, to support reconciliation, healing, and respect for women, children and all people along the gender continuum.

We also recognize the heartbreaking reality that Indigenous women are twice as likely to experience violence from their current or former partner. This must stop.

Together, we can create meaningful change.

The Sinixt Canoe Journey will be making a stop in Revelstoke on June 11th, 2026 before traveling south to Kettle Falls, Washington, retracing the ancestral waterways that have shaped their identity, movement, and way of life since time immemorial. Spanning more than 500 kilometres, the 10-day journey is a powerful expression of Sinixt presence and responsibility to the land and waters that have always sustained them.
