Everything you need to know about Revelstoke Garlic Festival this weekend!

SATURDAY: “the big stink” community picnic and music in the park is a free/by donation celebration of community. Grab your best gang & stinky garlic food and come hang out. No vendors or garlic for sale on Saturday.

SUNDAY: “Revelstoke garlic festival” is Sunday 11-4 and is a $5 donation to the LFI to get in! Vendors, garlic, food trucks (come hungry!), kids activities and crafts, workshops and general family fun! Not sure about how to grow garlic? Come see Georgie Hyland at the LFI tent.

Want to grow garlic in your garden this year? This is a low maintenance crop to grow, once you know the seasonal signs to look for. Join us for a garlic growing workshop at the Illecillewaet garden on Monday so that you can learn the skills you need to plant.

This Sunday is Revelstoke Garlic Festival is where you can buy your garlic bulbs. Talk to the vendors, or pop over to the LFI tent to talk to the Food Security Coordinator Georgie Hyland to talk about the best varieties to grow in your backyard conditions.

On Sept 20th at the Revelstoke Garlic Festival, we are sooooo excited to have FarmFolk CityFolk as part of our food security market events supported by Okanagan College.

Join us for a day of learning about seed saving. Seeds are everywhere in our gardens - we need to know what to look for, when to do it and how to clean them. Seed sovereignty is a pillar of food security - we have lots more programming coming in 2027 at the Revelstoke Food Commons

Let’s celebrate all the stinky garlic, the harvest, the community and all our growers and makers!

🧄 Kids fun, crafts & entertainment.

This is an annual fundraiser for the LFI, it is $5 to enter. Proceeds go towards our garden and food literacy programs. Thanks to Revelstoke for their support, and to Cascadia Credit Union Cascadia Credit Union - Revelstoke Branch for sponsoring our kids fun zone!

THE BIG STINK!

This year we’re slowing things down on Saturday, Sept 19th 5-7 with “The big stink” community picnic. Pack a picnic or get your fave takeout (garlic meals preferred), bring a blanket, and settle in for some community fun and music in the park. This day is truly about giving back, appreciating our community and gathering for some late summer fun.

Thank you to Revelstoke for their support, and Cascadia Credit Union Cascadia Credit Union - Revelstoke Branch for sponsoring our kids fun area on the Sunday, including an arts tent, Kiki and more.

The Revelstoke Garlic Festival is just around the corner. We’re not sure what year this is with Stu & Sarah Stoke The Fire 💙 but it’s year four with the LFI.

This year we’re slowing things down on Saturday, Sept 19th 5-7 with “The big stink” community picnic. Pack a picnic or get your fave takeout (garlic meals preferred), bring a blanket, and settle in for some community fun and music in the park. Then on Sunday, Sept 20th is the big one from 11-4.

H y Revy! It’s garlic festival time! On September 20th we’re gathering at Queen Elizabeth park to celebrate the season, community and local food culture.

Food trucks, vendors, kids fun (Kiki the eco elf, Dada the balloon maker, kids art tent), garlic workshops, live music and all day fun! Thanks to the generous support from Cascadia Credit Union & Revelstoke
